ON THE WINE LIST
GANZO fondante Sparkling botte fermented wine
In the 18th century Venice, “ganzo” was the name of a luxurious fabric which was much in vogue among wealthy land-owners in the Lagoon City.
It was made from high-quality cloth and enriched with embroidery in gold and silver thread.
With its golden colours, luxorious perlage, fine aromas and sumptuous flavours we were inspired to name this wine GANZO, as, just like the famous fabric, our GANZO also owes its appeal to a unique luminance.
For this wine the second fermentation takes place in the bottle and it then rests on its own yeasts, like a Classic Method. The wine has a pleasingly thick effervescence which endures in the glass.
Subtle overtones of white flowers and ripe apples emerge gracefully before making way for fragrant notes of breadcrust alongside an intriguing hint of iodine. On the palate it is balanced with a soft, caressing body supported by an enjoyable freshness and captivating zest.
